Getting to Campus

Located halfway between Syracuse and Binghamton in New York’s stunning Finger Lakes region, Cortland can be reached via Interstate Route 81, Route 11, Routes 281 and 41 or Route 13 from Ithaca.

Bus and Ground Transportation
Travel directly to Cortland by car or take Amtrak to Syracuse and then catch a bus or cab to Cortland. Greyhound and New York Trailways offer bus and motor coach service with drop off in Cortland. Within the city of Cortland, taxi and limousine services, as well as Cortland Transit, make traveling easy.

Parking

Campus Bus Schedule
The campus bus runs at half-hour intervals from our western parking lots to key buildings and facilities. You can also use the late-night campus shuttle, the Sunday Bus or a weekend shopping bus, as well as the Friday and Saturday Downtown Shuttle.

In a beautiful natural setting at the intersection of the seven valleys in central New York State sits the thriving city of Cortland. Just a short walk from the SUNY Cortland campus, the downtown business district retains its Victorian heritage and serves a population of about 20,000 residents.
