Hendrick Hall

Hendrick Hall was built in 1959 and is named after Mary Hendrick who taught English and elocution at Cortland from 1869-1904. Hendrick is one of six low-rise residence halls that were constructed between 1957 and 1962 on the SUNY Cortland campus. Hendrick was renovated in 1999. 

Hendrick Hall is a corridor-style building with double rooms. It houses both upper-class students and new students. 

Hendrick Hall Highlights

  • Kitchens are available on each floor. This kitchen is equipped with a sink, stove/oven and a microwave.
  • The first-floor recreation lounge is equipped with a pool table, foosball table and TV.
  • The study lounge is located on the first floor across the hall form the student staff office.
  • There are additional lounges located on the second and third floors of the building where students can relax or study outside of their residence hall room.
  • The student staff office and the RHD’s office are both located on the first floor.
  • The laundry facilities are located on the ground floor; you use your college ID as a form of payment for the vending machine items. The cost for use of the laundry machines is included in your dining plan.
  • The entire building has wireless Internet access.
  • The second floor offers housing as co-ed by room (beginning Fall 2014).

Hendrick Hall is managed by a full-time professional Residence Hall Director (AC) who has an office located on the first floor.
